Robert Bestani

Robert Bestani is an international finance and energy expert with extensive public and private sector experience, including senior roles at the US Treasury, State, Energy, Defense, and the Asian Development Bank. He also teaches at Georgetown University and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Robert Bestani is a seasoned international finance and energy expert with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Monetary Affairs in the US Treasury during the George H.W. Bush Administration, as well as in senior roles at the Departments of State, Energy, and Defense. Previously, he was Director General of Private Sector Finance at the Asian Development Bank, where his department mobilized more than $24 billion for infrastructure and development projects across Asia. His private-sector career includes leadership positions at Citibank, Texaco, Bank of America, Duke Energy, and PwC. A life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he also teaches and lectures widely on international economics, energy, and geopolitics and is a faculty member at Georgetown University.
