Emi is a senior at the Bronx High School of Science in New York City, where she is Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper - The Science Survey - which has over half a million annual readers. She was previously a member of the Bronx Science Congressional Debate Team, where she was ranked top ten in New York State for the 2024-2025 season. Emi also produced debate workshops to spread the positive impact of civil discourse. In pursuit of her interest in law and political science, Emi interned at a law firm, wrote for the Nassau Lawyer publication, and produced a paper on political polarization in America and its relationship to emotional despair. When Emi enters university in Fall of 2026, she plans to pursue political science.
